I was truly saddened to hear of Matt's passing and wanted to send my deepest sympathies to his family and close friends. It just breaks my heart that such a great guy lost his battle so early in life. I will always remember him as being one of my first crushes in grade school and playing together in the old neighborhood. Rest in peace, Matt.

Matt was my first real friend in high school...over the years we ran into each other so many times; always picked right back up from last time we spoke, be it days or months. I helped him through Biology by bending my cheap gold bracelet into the shape of A...B...C or D depending on where Mr. Susnis was looking..:) He is someone I will never feel like is gone...just haven't seen him in a while...I'm very sorry for all of ours loss of Matt...

Today I will not only say good bye to my first love, but to a man that I will never forget! The memories we shared and the years we had together will never be forgotten. We had some great times together! I can not believe this has happened! I am shocked and saddened! Our camping trips just won't be the same!! Vince said he will keep the drawings and pencils you gave him forever!!
