Martin Benjamin Bergerson, 67, passed away August 17, only two years and one month shy when he planned to start collecting Social Security benefits. Bergy leaves behind his beautiful wife and personal attorney, Suellen (Kelley), his clone and golf buddy, Martin Dugan (Sarah), and his sparring partner, Mary Clare. Beloved "Smack ‘em" baseball Poppa to Braedan, MaryJane, and Norah. Marty’s Irish Catholic family of Patrick (Patti), Norah (late Don) Dotson, Peter (Connie), Ellie (Frank) Parkerson, Michael Stephen (Debbie), Mary Ann (Tom) Ahern will mourn the loss of their 6’3’ red headed leprechaun. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin B. and Mary Jane (Dugan) Bergerson. Marty’s inlaws (and outlaws) will honor their sister’s husband who always broke the fun-o-meter with a Jameson’s toast but not a song as they are terrible singers. He will be remembered by his numerous (all Irish Catholic) nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews who adored him and his fantastic seats at Wrigley Field. Bergy was also blessed with a legion of loyal friends. May he finally achieve his hole in one!
