Lynn Jacox, 74, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 1:15 am in Rittenhouse Senior Living of Michigan City.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, 121 W. 9th St., Michigan City, IN with Dr. Ericka Parkinson Kilbourne officiating. Private burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

She was born November 21, 1943 in Plymouth, Indiana to the late Harold and Mary Girten. On July 31, 1965 in Plymouth, IN she married Steven Jacox who preceded her on April 25, 2017.

Surviving are her daughter, Jill (Chris) Craig of Michigan City, IN; Three Grandchildren, Ella Grace Craig, Carter Steven Craig and Charlie Finnigan Craig; three Sisters, Dee (James-Deceased) Brown, Anne (Dave) Houghton and Patti Girten, all of Plymouth, IN; and three brothers, Bill (Donna) Girten, Bob Girten and Larry (Amme) Girten, all of Plymouth, IN.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jani Louise Girten.

Lynn had worked as a beautician and adored her friends. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Junior League and a volunteer of the church soup kitchen. Lynn enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, the beach and being with her family.
