Jan C. Tuman, 60, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at 12:41 am in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.

A celebration of life gathering will be from 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at W.A. Cummings Lodge, 350 Grangemouth Rd., LaPorte, IN. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

He was born May 13, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Charles and Mary (Malewski) Tuman.

Surviving are a daughter, Katelyn Tuman of Evergreen Park, IL; friend, Roberta Dianne Strickland of Michigan City, IN; friend's children, Courtney Strickland of Chicago, IL; Travis (Melissa) Strickland of Los Angeles, CA and Neil (Daniela) Strickland of Sevierville, TN; son of Travis (Melissa) Strickland, Harrison Robert Strickland; and two sisters, Sally (David) Szymonik of LaPorte, IN and Rosalie (Thomas) Hines of Tinley Park, IL.

Jan was a utility maintenance engineer at Four Winds Casino. He loved animals and enjoyed golfing, fishing, dancing and making people laugh.
