Genevieve J. Lasky, 92, Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 5:50 am in Life Care Center of Michigan City.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 1, 2018 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1506 Washington Street, Michigan City, IN with Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday and from 8:30 am - 9:30 am Saturday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.

She was born September 19, 1926 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Leo and Mary (Boyan) Malik. On October 12, 1946 in Michigan City, IN she married Eugene Kaszynski who preceded her on November 18, 1961, the on June 24, 1972 in Michigan City, IN she married Paul A. Lasky, Jr. who preceded her on October 16, 2015.

Surviving are two daughters, Jane (Jerry) Heiser of Valparaiso, IN and Judy (Henry) Phillips of Michigan City, IN; step-son, Leonard (Cindy) Lasky of Portage, IN; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Giannini of Michigan City, IN and Irene Jemrok of Merrillville, IN; and two Brothers, Edward Malik and John Malik, both of Michigan City, IN.

She was also preceded in death by her son, James Kaszynski; and three sisters, Sophie Pizarek, Dolores Chmielowiec and Janet Ohms.

Genevieve had worked as an inspector at Swiss Control and was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
