Elder Willie R. "Bob" Leonard, III, 60, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at 7:18 am in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Life Temple Church of God in Christ, 3709 West US Highway 20, La Porte, IN with Pastor Robert Fleming officiating. Private burial will take place in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 am -1:00 pm, Saturday at Life Temple Church of God in Christ. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

He was born November 16, 1958 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Willie R. and Sarah (Williams) Leonard, Jr. On May 24, 1986 in South Bend, IN he married Zina Williams who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are two daughters, Angela (Craig) Toney of Danville, IN and Tiara (Donnie) Allison of Michigan City, IN; two sons, Christopher Leonard of Michigan City, IN and DeAndre (Nikita) Leonard, Sr. of Indianapolis, IN; his mother, Sarah Leonard of Michigan City, IN; six grandchildren, Caiden, Kennedy, Chloe, DeAndre Jr., Nevaeh and Serita; three sisters, Mary (Marty) Anderson of Michigan City, IN, Doris Howell of Michigan City, IN and Patricia (Victor) Taylor of Kalamazoo, MI; sister-in-love, Vernella Williams of South Bend, IN; brother-in-love, Verdell (Angela) Williams, Jr. or South Bend, IN; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie R. Leonard, Jr.; brother, Larry Leonard; in-laws, Verdell and Barbara Williams, Sr.; and his sister-in-law, Linda Williams.

Willie was a tire technician at Belle Tire, Michigan City, IN.

He was a member and Elder of Life Temple Church of God in Christ. Willie enjoyed playing basketball, golfing and reading.  His true passion was teaching and sharing the word of God.
