Daniel R. Williams, 88, Chesterton, Indiana, formerly of Michigan City, Indiana passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at 5:30 am in Addison Pointe Health & Rehabilitation Center, Chesterton, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana with Brother Shaun Gray officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation hours will be from 9:00 am Saturday till the time of service in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel. The American Legion Skwiat Post 451 and the VFW Post 2536 will conduct full military services Saturday at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

He was born July 12, 1929 in Gary, Indiana to the late David and Florence (Kleckner) Williams. On August 22, 1951 in Michigan City, Indiana he married Adeline "Addie" Kuskowski who preceded him in death on November 18, 2006. Surviving are Two Daughters, Debra (Joseph) Maxin of Chesterton, Indiana and April (Michael) Gresham of Michigan City, Indiana; Three Grandchildren, Rachel (Jake) Scott of Chesterton, Indiana, Laura (Michael) Porter of Michigan City, Indiana, Joseph (Donielle) Maxin of Portage, Indiana; Five Great-Grandchildren, Mirabel, Addie, Dyana, Lyra and Avery.

He was preceded in death by his son, Richard "Dickie" Williams; sister, Doris Szillage along with a brother, David Williams.

Daniel retired as a plumber from Local Union #210, Merrillville, Indiana and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
