Dale E. Miller, 75, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 surrounded by loved ones in his home.

There will be no visitation hours, private family services will take place in Pinhook Cemetery with a celebration of life service to be announced at a later date. Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana are handling arrangements.

He was born April 16, 1943 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Elmer and Nina (LeRoy) Miller. Surviving are son, Chris (Mandy) Miller; two daughters, Teresa (Charlie) Roberts and Angie (Kristen) Miller. seven grandchildren, Camryn, Hannah, Haley, Eliza, Madysen, Benjamin and Ethan; Patricia Moyer the mother of his children and spouse for 23 years. He was preceded in death by Sister, Donna Novak;

Dale was the hardest working, easy going, most caring man one could ever know. His love for farming, truck driving, his dogs and dedication to his family and his church, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Otis, Indiana will be forever be instilled in everyone's memory. He worked for Illiana Brick & Block for many years where he could finally retire and do exactly what he loved, focusing on the farm and family. Most will remember him by the hayrides at the Miller Orchard or driving the Sunday school bus. He also enjoyed playing the trumpet in the polka bands and traveling to entertain the crowds. A special thank you to his caregivers Lynn Jeffries and family and his best friend Buddy Arthur for their support during his illness.
