Catherine A. Stellema, 94, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 4:00 pm at her home.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Mary's Catholic Church 10th & Buffalo Streets, Michigan City, Indiana. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation hours will be Friday from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm and Saturday from 8:30 am till 9:30 am at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.

She was born January 20, 1924 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Gerald J. and Loretta (Nallenweg) Olvaney. On January 17, 1946 in Michigan City, Indiana she married Theodore A. Stellema, who preceded in death on June 20, 1999. Surviving are two sons, Thomas Stellema of Michigan City, Indiana and James (Kathy) Stellema of Trail Creek, Indiana. Son-in-law, Larry (Jan) Lindwall of Trail Creek, Indiana along with 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Jacquelyn Lindwall, sister, Geraldine Olvaney along with three brothers, Roland, Pat and Jack Olvaney.

Catherine was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Michigan City, Indiana, St. Mary's Rosary Sodality and Catholic Women's Study Club. She also volunteered at the St. Mary's Thrift Shop.
