Carol A. Bartuzik, 79, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 3:25 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City, Michigan City, Indiana.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 am, Friday, December 15, 2017 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1506 Washington Street, Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation hours will be Thursday from 4:00 pm -8:00 pm and Friday from 8:30 am till 9:30 am at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, Indiana. The St. Stanislaus Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 4:00 pm Thursday in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.

She was born November 10, 1938 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Joseph and Angela "Nellie" (Stachowski) Novitzke. On June 13, 1959 in Michigan City, Indiana she married Eugene Bartuzik, who preceded her in death on January 18, 2007.

Surviving are two daughters, Diane (Stanley) Gaskey of Merrillville, Indiana and Jean Bartuzik of Michigan City, Indiana. son, James Bartuzik of Michigan City, Indiana. brother, Robert (Diane) Novitzke of Michigan City, Indiana along with two nephews and two nieces. Carol was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and the St. Stanislaus Rosary Society, Michigan City, Indiana. She retired from Pubco Printing, Michigan City, Indiana. She enjoyed working in her kitchen cooking many different dishes along with spending time with her family and her monthly breakfast meetings with friends.
