Bruce W. Steinke, 86, Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 7:36 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.

Private services will be conducted with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.

He was born August 27, 1932 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late JuliusWilbur and Harlene (Cole) Steinke.

Surviving are his significant other, Cynthia Beamon of Trail Creek, Indiana; and his beloved pet, Sam.

He was also preceded in death by his sister Jeannette Steinke.

Bruce was a former President and CEO of Michigan City Savings & Loan and a U.S. Army Veteran. He also was a former part owner of Harmony Bar and had worked at Mertl Motors. Bruce was a member of American Legion Skwiat Post 451, enjoyed boating and was a licensed pilot.
