Beverly J. Collins, 90, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 9:17 pm in Symphony of Chesterton, Chesterton, IN.

Private family services will be conducted. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

She was born June 25, 1928 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Harold and Agda (Froberg) Easterday. On March 15, 1947 in Michigan City, IN she married Richard C. Collins who preceded her on January 23, 2013.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan (Grant) Payton and Sandra (Charles) Nickerson, both of Michigan City, IN; son, Richard G. (Donna) Collins of LaPorte, IN; Five grandchildren, Kellie Armstrong of Kissimmee, FL, Shayla (Joe) Kaminski of Michigan City, IN, Sgt. First Class Shaun (Stephanie) Collins of Indiana, PA, Scott Collins of LaPorte, IN and Michael Payton of Peru, IN; seven great-grandchildren, Dion Moore, Braelen Twine, Mitasia Payton, Joey Kaminski, Logan Kaminski, Sadie Collins and Emma Collins; two great-great-grandchildren, Daylen and Tamiya Moore; and her sister, Nancy Tarpley of Michigan City, IN.

She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Shirley Hendrickson and Audrey Wigmann.

Beverly worked for 17 years as a server in the cafeteria server at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital. She was a former member of the Women of the Moose #935 and enjoyed being with her family.
