Betty Jo Bailey, 88, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 4:20 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.

A celebration of life gathering will be from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Monday, February 4, 2019 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.

She was born January 24, 1930 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late William and Lola (McCune) Stanley. On July 22, 1962 in Michigan City, IN she married Robert Bailey who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are three daughters, Linda Peo of Michigan City, IN, Lauren (Ken) Jones of Las Vegas, NV and Jan (Max) Glenn of Minneapolis, MN; nine grandchildren, Amanda (Michael) Dorris, Emily (Rob) Hackett, Anthony (Jenn) Carew, Ian (Teryn) Glenn, Alex (Angela Shukert) Glenn, Kyle Glenn, Marastella (Chris) James, Sonya (Larry) Bilek and Bailey Hallin; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Owsley of Las Vegas, NV and LeAnn Stacy of LaPorte, IN; three brothers, Dallas (Nancy) Stanley of Michigan City, IN, William (Joann) Stanley of Tuscaloosa, AL and Larry Stanley of Michigan City, IN; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Bertrand Hallin, III; and brother, Ray Stanley.

Betty Jo had worked as an executive administrative assistant at Jaymar Ruby. She was a gourmet cook, avid reader and enjoyed traveling.
