Allan E. Kalk, 84, Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 5:27 am in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.

A Memorial Mass will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1010 Moore Rd., Long Beach, IN with Rev. Keith McClellan officiating. Private burial will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

He was born November 23, 1933 in Trail Creek, Indiana to the late Harry and Ella (Lewin) Kalk. On June 14, 1958 in Michigan City, IN he married Pauline K. Buell who survives in Trail Creek, IN.

Also surviving are two sons, Dale Kalk of Trail Creek, IN and Douglas (Sherryl) Kalk of South Bend, IN; daughter, Debra (Court) Walker of Granger, IN; three grandchildren, David Kalk of South Bend, IN, Lindsey Kalk of Honduras and Kevin Walker of Granger, IN.

He was also preceded in death by his three brothers, Eugene, Marvin and Elmer Kalk.

In 1994 Allan retired after 43 years from Dwyer Products as Vice-President. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church and Michigan City Senior Center. Allan enjoyed reading, bike riding and playing cards.
