Margery I. Mitchell, 95, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 1:30 am in Life Care Center of Michigan City,.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Selvaraj Selladurai officiating. Private burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 am -10:00 am, Saturday at the Queen of All Saints Church Legacy Center.
She was born October 20, 1922 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Lewis and Emma Alice (Watson) Mitchell.
Surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Nelson, Mae Mitchell and Frieda Contrall; and two brothers, Almond "Dick" Mitchell and Charles Mitchell.
Margery retired as a machine operator at Arno Tape and then went to work at Dairy Queen. She was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Margery enjoyed horseback riding and taking care of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She also was a volunteer at Mullen and Lake Hills Schools for ten years.
