Katherine A. Richmond, 70, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 3:55 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City, Michigan City, Indiana

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Monday, April 15, 2022 at 12:00 pm in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1506 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Private family entombment will take place in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Chapel of the Chimes Mausoleum, Michigan City, Indiana.  Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 am until the time of service in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.  Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.   

She was born November 1, 1953 in Miller, Indiana to the late Warren and Priscilla (McGinn) Mulzon. On September 1, 1973 in New Buffalo, Michigan  she married Michael "Mick" Richmond who survives Michigan City, Indiana. Also surviving are daughter, Kimberly Riley, son, Brian (Jennifer) Richmond both of Michigan City, Indiana; grandchildren, Natalie (Corey) McDonough, Ryne Riley, Lucas Richmond, and Brenna Richmond; two sisters, Theresa Mulzon of Sawyer, Michigan, and Margie Demarrow of Three Oaks, Michigan; brothers, John (Norma) Mulzon of La Porte, Indiana, David Mulzon of New Buffalo, Michigan and Thomas (Jen) Mulzon of Michigan City, Indiana; She was preceded in death by brother, Mickey Mulzon and a sister, Karen Purnell; 

She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church along with being a choir member at the church.  She was a long time St. Stanislaus Church Girl Scout leader. Katherine also enjoyed gardening and her grandchildren.
