Having the entrepreneurial spirit, with his mother and then wife they entered the "Shmaty" business. Waldemar had a passion for all kinds of arts, but especially music. He played guitar and sang in nightclubs in his younger years. He also raced motorcycles, enjoyed dancing, photography, drawing, reading and most of all telling jokes and having long conversations.

Waldemar is survived by his wife Alicja, his daughter Renee and husband Matt with grand-daughters Maja and Olivia as well as his son Arthur and wife Julia and his grandsons Alex, Casimir and Max.
