Terrence J. Murphy, 84, Beverly Shores, Indiana, formerly of Valparaiso, IN passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 in New Buffalo, MI.
Private family services were conducted. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
He was born December 18, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Lewis and Helena (Drinan) Murphy. On August 18, 1962 in Notre Dame, IN he married Mary J. "Judy" Griffin who survives in Beverly Shores, IN.
Also surviving are son, Kevin (Connie) Murphy of Valparaiso, IN, daughter, Maureen (Roger) Lopp of Dillon, CO, daughter, Nora (Bret) Schmutte of Noblesville, IN, son, Daniel Murphy of Denver, CO and son, Brian (Tracy) Murphy of Indianapolis, IN; nine grandchildren, Sean (Madison) Lopp, Benjamin Schmutte, Colleen Lopp, Erin Schmutte, Emma Murphy, Sarah Schmutte, Keara Murphy, Liam Murphy and Caden Murphy; sister, Sister Judith Ann Murphy, C.S.C. of Notre Dame, IN; and his brother, Patrick (Nancy) Murphy of Valparaiso, IN.
Terrence was a retired teacher having taught for five years at Kouts High School and twenty five years at Portage High School. He was a member of St. Ann of the Dunes Catholic Church, Beverly Shores, IN.
