Tadeusz "Ted" Protas, 55, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 8:38 pm in Hospice Franciscan Communities, Michigan City, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm, Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Private burial will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm, Monday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN.
He was born December 30, 1960 in Warsaw, Poland to the late Jozef and Wiera (Przyjemko) Protas.
Surviving are a daughter, Marie Protas of Michigan City, IN; two sisters, Irena Carlson of Michigan City, IN and Danuta (Patrick) Tomenko of LaPorte, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Craig Carlson.
Ted was a machinist at Guardian Industries. He enjoyed motorcycles, cars, cooking, soccer, golfing and video games.
