Steven F. Jacox, 74, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 7:55 pm in University of Chicago Hospital, Chicago, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, May 1, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church, 121 W. 9th St., Michigan City, Indiana with Dr. Ericka Parkinson Kilbourne officiating. Private family burial will take place in Plymouth Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana. Visitation hours will be from 2:00 pm -6:00 pm, Sunday in the Ott/ Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana and from 10:00 am until time service Monday at the church.

He was born March 14, 1943 in Plymouth, Indiana to the late Sanford and Helen (Holland) Jacox. On July 31, 1965 in Plymouth, Indiana he married Lynn Girten who survives Michigan City, Indiana.

Also surviving are a daughter, Jill (Chris) Craig of Michigan City, Indiana; three grandchildren, Ella Grace Craig, Carter Steven Craig and Charlie Finnigan Craig; Also Jake his dog "Buddy".

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Jacox.

Steve was a retired partner with General Insurance, Michigan City, Indiana where he headed up the Commercial Insurance Department. He was a long time member and enjoyed golfing at the Long Beach Country Club, Long Beach, Indiana.
