Ramona J. Bendix, 82, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 6:00 am in Franciscan Health - Michigan City
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with Father Selvaraj Selladurai officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Cemetery, LaPorte, IN. Visitation will be from 9:15 am -10:00 am, Tuesday at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
She was born February 12, 1935 in LaPorte, Indiana to the late Frank and Sheila (Jendrzejak) Teets. On July 5, 1958 in Michigan City, IN she married Donald Bendix who preceded her on January 19, 2007.
Surviving are daughter, Julie (David) Strakowski of LaPorte, IN; son, Stephen (Cheryl) Bendix of Warsaw, IN; four grandchildren, Emily Bendix, Scott Bendix, Alec Bendix and Phillip Strakowski; and her sister, Eleanor Nickell of Michigan City, IN.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Clarence Teets.
Ramona was a salesperson at Carson Pirie Scott & Co and a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting and crossword puzzles.
