Penny D. Stimley, 75, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 8:25 pm in Hospice Franciscan Communities surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Rev. William O'Toole officiating. Private burial will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time Saturday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.

She was born April 11, 1941 in Lincoln, California to the late Jack and Celeste (Pressey) Stockley. On May 7, 1960 in Lincoln, CA she married Charles Stimley who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are seven children, Jacki Zahn of Michigan City, IN, Charles Stimley of Fairfax, VA, Donald (Colleen) Stimley of Portage, MI, Stephen (Jeanine) Stimley of Michigan City, IN, Laura (Timothy) Patrick of Michigan City, IN, Jason (Lori) Stimley of LaPorte, IN and Samantha (Brian) DiPaolo of Long Grove, IL; twenty grandchildren, Eric Daniel, Michael Daniel, Darien Stimley of Portage, MI, Nicholas Stimley, Logan Patrick, Ashley Stimley, Lucas Stimley, Elizabeth Stimley, Jacob Stimley, Abagail Stimley, Ellen Hough, Greta Foglesong, Emma Foglesong, Anna Foglesong, Mary Cate DiPaolo, Dominic DiPaolo, Sophie DiPaolo, Maggie DiPaolo, Veronica Zahn and America Zahn; and her beloved pet, Tank.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Norlen Seibert and Jill Gunderson; and her brother, Philip Stockley.

She was a playground mom for 40 years at Queen of All Saint's School and St. Mary's School. She was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Penny loved her family and was known as the family advisor. She enjoyed reading, was very artistic and loved butterflies and the color purple.
