Paul A. Bazia, 56, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 6:30 am in Franciscan Health - Michigan City, Michigan City, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, December 18, 2017 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. William F. O'Toole officiating. Private family burial will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation hours will be Sunday from 4:00 pm -6:00 pm and Monday from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.

He was born December 11, 1961 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Alfred "Fred" and Harriet (Gushrowski) Bazia. Surviving are his mother, Harriet Bazia, two Sisters, Susan (David) Radke and Kristina Bazia all of Michigan City, Indiana. Two nieces, Gretchen Durflinger-Krumrie and Loniyah Savado. Two nephews, Jordan Bazia and Lonnie Bazia. Great-nephew, Collin Scherrbaum along with three Great-nieces, Anna Krumrie, Emily Durflinger and Ella Krumrie. He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Bazia, sister, Julie Rusboldt along with his pet dog, Patrick.

He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Michigan City, Indiana. Paul worked as a dietitian aid at Franciscan Health-Michigan City for 35 years receiving Ambassador of the Month on three different occasions. He was a true loyal sports fan supporting the Michigan City Elston Red Devils along with being a member of the Michigan City High School Booster Club and a current supporter of the Michigan City Wolves.
