Norman R. Cox, 91, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 6:21 am in Franciscan St. Anthony Health - Michigan City.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 23, 2016 at St. Andrew's by-the-Lake Episcopal Church, 1007 Moore Road, Michigan City, IN with Rev. Rob Dorow officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am -11:00 am, Saturday at St. Andrew's by-the-Lake Episcopal Church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

He was born January 10, 1925 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Loys and Vernita (Black) Cox. On July 1, 1950 in Michigan City, IN he married Lu Walker who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are two daughters, Deborah Cox of Michigan City, IN and Kimberly (Stanley) Przybylinski of Michigan City, IN; two sons, Jeffrey (Catherine) Cox of Michigan City, IN and Kevin (Kay) Cox of Buckeye, AZ; seven grandchildren, Andrea (Brent) Hoag, Corey (Kelly) Cox, Samantha Przybylinski, Morgan Cox, Jacob (Sydney) Cox, Adam Przybylinski and Rachael Cox; two great-grandchildren, Landen and Natalie Cox; brother, Dennis (Carol) Cox; brother-in-law, Lester Radke; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn and Phillip Cox; and two sisters, Doris Radke and Louise Million.

Norm was an active member of St. Andrew's by-the-Lake Episcopal Church. As his youngest son said of him on his 90th birthday, "the nicest guy you'll ever meet".
