Michael Joseph Kesler, 44, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 4:30 am in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, September 8, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 C St., LaPorte, IN with Rev. David Kime officiating. Burial will take place in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.

He was born July 10, 1973 in Hammond, Indiana. On November 18, 2006 in he married Teresa Vargas who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are his son, Jacob Woerner of Hobart, IN; father, Robert Kesler of Gary, IN; mother, Linda Collyard of North Judson, IN; sister, Carriann Kesler of Crown Point, IN; brother, Marc (Melissa) Kesler of Hammond, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

He worked at Commercial Vehicle Group. Michael was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, LaPorte, IN and enjoyed fishing.
