Marie F. Jankowski, 91, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 2:51 pm in Franciscan St. Anthony Health - Michigan City, IN.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, November 16, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Buffalo & 10th Streets, Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Walter Rakoczy officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, November 15, 2015 and from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.

She was born January 30, 1924 in Michigan City, IN to the late John and Anna (Welnetz) Boehnlein. On September 27, 1947 in Michigan City, IN she married Leonard Jankowski who preceded April 4, 2000.

Surviving are Two Daughters, Sharon Jankowski of Michigan City, IN, Carol (Steven) Krause of South Bend, IN; Son, Leonard E. (JoAnn) Jankowski, Jr. of Chesterton, IN; Nine Grandchildren, Brian (Wendy) Krause, Bradley (Jasmine) Krause, Meghan (Michael) Hodge, Alison (Kevin Davis) Krause, Cherie (Brian) Gill, Sandy (Michael) Smith, Leonard (Amber) Jankowski, Holly (Josh) Firanek, Jeffery (Tristan Hulse) Vanderplough; 12 - Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both her parents, husband, Three Brothers, John Boehnlein, Arnold Boehnlein, Raymond Boehnlein; Three Sisters, Antonia Boehnlein, Eulalia Boehnlein, Dorothy Jarka.

Marie volunteered at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Elston Grove Communities, and was a member of the St. Mary's Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed going to band concerts, dancing, singing, and listening to the Polka Party on the radio on Sunday mornings. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her Beagle Dog "Taco".
