Lisa A. Johns, 55, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 in her home
A Memorial Visitation will be from 1:00 pm -5:00 pm, Saturday, August 26, 2017 in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.
She was born October 21, 1961 in Gary, Indiana to the late Michael "Spike" and Marjayne (Kozma) Borjan. On August 29, 1991 in Gary, Indiana she married Michael S. Johns, Sr. who survives Michigan City, Indiana. Also surviving is her mother, Marjayne Borjan, Munster, Indiana; Daughter, Sabra (Frank) Rodriguez of La Porte, Indiana; Son, Michael S. Johns, Jr. of Michigan City, Indiana; Three Granddaughters, Alyssa Rodriguez, Aurora Rodriguez and Arya Rodriguez and a Grandson, Anson Rodriguez; Sister, Laura (Terry) Spicer of St. John, Indiana; She was preceded in death by her Sister, Michaelene Borjan;
Lisa attended the St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, Merrillville, Indiana receiving her Catholic education through eighth grade at the school. She worked at the Coolspring Dental Clinic with Tamara Eaton, DDS as a Dental Assistant with expanded duties. She also had taken classes at Indiana University Northwest. Lisa's greatest joy and pleasure was being a loving daughter, wife, grandmother, sister and friend, but most importantly though was being a caring and wonderful mother to her children.
