Kathryn K. Dougherty, 77, Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at 1:30 pm in Life Care Center of Michigan City.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, March 24, 2017 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Kevin Huber officiating. Cremation will take place. Visitation will be from 9:30 am -10:00 am, Friday at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

She was born May 5, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Antony and Benigna Kopec.

Surviving are a daughter, Jennefer (Reid) Melnyk of Milton, FL; four grandchildren, Camden, Reid, Macy and Jordin; brother, Anthony Kopec of Washington State; and her former spouse, Patrick Dougherty of Michigan City, IN.

Kathryn had worked as a legal secretary in Chicago, IL. She was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church and a volunteer at Christ the King Adoration Chapel.
