Kathi Ann Allgood

The kind, caring soul of Ms. Kathi Ann Allgood made her transition to her eternal rest on March 4, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 24, 1pm-5pm at Krueger Memorial Park in Michigan City, IN. Dion Campbell will be officiating. Kathi was born on June 21, 1959, in Michigan City, IN, to Donald (deceased) and Esther (Back) Allgood. Kathi leaves to cherish her memory her loving children Stephen Garner, Stephanie Garner, Brittaney Mensah, and Jordan Mensah, and her adoring grandchildren Dionte Garner-Deal, Ja’Niyah Mensah, and Brooklynn Garner, She also leaves a legacy of loving step-children Laketa Mensah, Travis (Tiffany) Mensah, and Brandon Mensah, along with their children, who knew her affectionately as “Mammaw.” In addition to her mother, who survives in Katy,TX, and her children and grandchildren, Ms. Allgood leaves to honor her memory sisters Debra (Harold) Mills, Donna (Ralph) Sillesky, and Brother Bruce Allgood, along with many loving nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Kathi worked many years as co-proprietor of a housecleaning service, a job she performed with pride and precision. Her most important job, however, was her loving role as Mother, a role that will be difficult to fill for anyone she loved. Kathi was an inspiring teacher, loving counselor, and a faithful companion. She epitomized the meaning of the word selfless, as many on the receiving end of her love, loyalty, and generosity can attest.
