Jerry Dean "Bro" George, Sr., 63, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 7:58 am in Franciscan St. Anthony Health - Michigan City.
Cremation will take place and a private family service will be conducted. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
He was born December 17, 1952 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Henry Lee and Melvinia (Fleming) George, Sr.
Surviving are four daughters, Jerina Blackwell of Elkhart, IN, Jannetta George of Michigan City, IN, Ramie George of Michigan City, IN and Shalonda Orzech of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two sons, Gino George of South Bend, IN and Jerry George, Jr. of Michigan City, IN; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Karen George and Gearild George, both of Michigan City, IN; and 3 nieces and 3 nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Doretha Judge; and brother, Henry Lee George, Jr.
Jerry retired as a millwright at Bethlehem Steel and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, cooking and spending time with his family.
