Jean Louisa Bucy, 86, Michigan City, Indiana passed away peacefully on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, Indiana.
She was born on February 15, 1930 in Clairton, Pennsylvania to the late Bertha and Darwin Winkelvoss. She married Harry L. Bucy on December 27, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland who preceded her on February 24, 2014. Their was a love story that spanned 66-years. Surviving are four children; Harry S. Bucy, Denver, Colorado; Shelby Weaver, Crown Point, Indiana; Debby Everly, Michigan City, Indiana; and Greg (Mary) Bucy, Westville, Indiana; 7-grandchildren and 10-great-grandchildren. All of whom will treasure her memory, forever.
Jean retired from the Michigan City Area Schools administration office. A private, graveside service was conducted at Greenwood Cemetery in Michigan City with Pastor Ericka Parkinson-Kilbourne officiating. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN handled arrangements.
