Iris E. Weidner, 91, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at 1:04 am in Aperion Care Arbors at Michigan City, Michigan City, Indiana.

Visitation hours will be from 5:00 pm -8:00 pm, Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana. Cremation will take place and private family services will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana.

She was born December 11, 1923 in New Hope, Illinois to the late William and Maxine (Darrah) Boote. On May 23, 1946 in Peoria, Illinois she married William R. Weidner, who preceded her in death on March 8, 1999. Surviving are Son, William J. "Jeff" (Bonnie) Weidner of Arbuckle, California; Daughter, Marcy (Robert) Jacobs of Michigan City, Indiana; Two Grandsons, Benjamin Vissing of Michigan City, Indiana and Evan Weidner of Agorua Hills, California; Great-grandson, Jackson Blu Leasure; Ron Wozniak, longtime companion of Laporte, Indiana; She was preceded in death by her Brother, Orlyn "Gene" Boote;

Mrs. Weidner attended Purdue North Central and was a beautician having her shop in her home for many years. She then worked for years as a greeter at Meijer. She was a former hospital guild volunteer with St. Anthony Hospital. She was a former member of Long Beach Country Club enjoying golf and socializing with her friends. Being very artisitc her Decoupage boxes were shown and sold from Marshall Field & Co. (state street store), Chicago, Illinois.
