Irene C. Lewinski, 88, Hobart, Indiana, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at in St. Mary's Medical Center, Hobart, Indiana.

A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:30 am, Monday, March 5, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Catholi Church, 2447 Putnam St., Lake Station, Indiana with Rev. David Kime officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.

She was born March 26, 1929 in Chicago, Illionis to the late Stanley and Salomea (Niewiadomski) Kalinowski. On January 5, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois she married Norbert Edwin Lewinski who preceded her in death on November 29, 2014. Surviving are three daughters, Janis DiGiovanna of Hobart, Indiana, Ellen (Tom) Daley of Ft. Myers, Florida and Nancy (Michael) Mazzoni of Lexington, Kentucky. Granddaughter, Madeline Wilk of Ft. Myers, Florida and a grandson, Russell (Jill Thinnes) Wilk of Chicago, Illinois; Sister, Rita Kucharski of Willowbrook, Illinois; Serveral nieces & nephews along with several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Three sisters, Helen Celmer, Adeline Marolewski, and Veronica Kardas preceded her in death.

Irene was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Lake Station, Indiana.
