Helen O. Eggebrecht, 86, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11:25 pm in Hospice Franciscan Communities, Michigan City, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Pastor David Solum officiating. Private burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN at a later date. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Sunday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN.

She was born November 23, 1929 in Butte, North Dakota to the late August and Lena (Frank) Bauer. In 1947 in Turtle Lake, ND she married Marvin Miller who preceded her. On November 8, 1958 in Calumet City, IL she married Walter Eggebrecht who preceded her on June 7, 2012.

Surviving are daughter, Pamela Miller Long of Michigan City, IN; 5 grandchildren;10 great-grandchildren; and her special-friend, Victor Pagel of Michigan City, IN.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Terrance Miller; three sisters, Katie Skliniska, Esther Campeau and Marge Chapman; and six brothers, Joseph, Ralph, Anthony, Elmer, Oliver and Harry Bauer.

Helen had worked as a medical clerk and was also the owner/operator of the Lakeview Lounge, La Valle, WI. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Michigan City, IN.
