Gloria A. Covert, age 63, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 3:30 am in her home.

A celebration of life gathering will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.

She was born November 10, 1953 in Michigan City, Indiana to Joseph and Germaine (Foldenauer) Wadas. On October 31, 1970 in Michigan City, Indiana she married Randall Covert who survives in Michigan City, Indiana.

Also, surviving are her mother, Germaine Wadas, Michigan City, Indiana; Daughter, Melanie Covert of Elkhart, Indiana; three sons, Brent Covert of South Bend, Indiana, Randy Covert of Mishawaka, Indiana and Keith (Brianna) Covert of Fairfield, California; 8 grandchildren; two sisters, Susie St. John of Columbus, Ohio and Rose Taylor of Westville, Indiana; and her brother, Joseph Wadas of Michigan City, Indiana.

Gloria worked in the Risk Management Dept. at Franciscan Health - Michigan City. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, work, cooking, planting flowers, her cats, reading, playing the lotto every Saturday and her pixie sticks.
