Franklin DeMarco "Nitty" Turner, 44, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 11:00 am in his home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, February 17, 2018 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 730 W. 6th St., Michigan City, IN with Rev. James Lane officiating. Private burial will take place in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 am -12:00 pm, Saturday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

He was born October 28, 1973 in Michigan City, Indiana to Willie and Betty (Brooks) Turner.

Surviving are his father, Willie Turner of Michigan City, IN; daughter, Madison Evans of Michigan City, IN; two sons, Juanyei Turner and Scottaries Orzech, both of Michigan City, IN; and his brother, Don Jeffries of Michigan City, IN.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Turner.

Franklin worked as a shipping clerk at Dwyer Instruments and was also a cook at Up in Smoke. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and being around people.
