Evelyn M. Watkins, 58, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at 2:25 am in VNA Hospice Center, Valparaiso, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, May 19, 2017 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana with family friend Rev. Jeff Williams officiating and Father Jim, Greanias giving a blessing. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm -8:00 pm, Thursday and from 10:00 am until time service Friday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.

She was born August 25, 1958 in Gary, Indiana to the late Dan and Mary (Patellis) Meiu. On September 17, 1977 in Michigan City, Indiana she married David B.Watkins who survives Michigan City, Indiana; Also surviving are Son, Ryan Watkins of Michigan City, Indiana; Two Granddaughters, Amara Watkins and Emily Watkins; Three Sisters, Denise (Robert) Svetich of Loveland, Colorado, Mary Ellen (Barry) Ward of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Elaine (Dale) Girard of Westville, Indiana; Brother, Dennis (Dale) Meiu of Loveland, Colorado;

Evelyn was a very creative decorator, she was a talented seamstress, enjoyed working outside in her flower gardens and loved caring for her granddaughters.
