Esther B. Miscik, 94, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at 2:15 p.m. in Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home, New Carlisle, IN.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 23, 2016 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1506 Washington Street, Michigan City, IN with Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m., Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.

She was born February 9, 1922 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Anthony and Hattie (Golumbeck) Zekowski. On July 19, 1947 in Michigan City, IN she married Joseph J. Miscik who preceded February 9, 1998.

Surviving are four Sons, James Miscik of Michigan City, IN, John (Carol) Miscik of North Judson, IN, Michael Miscik of Michigan City, IN, Rick (Tia) Miscik of Michigan City, IN; four grandchildren, Sarah Miscik of Indianapolis, IN, Greg (Melissa) Miscik of Greenwood, IN, Trisha Hughes of Luther, OK, Joe Lombard of Luther, OK; four great-grandchildren, Oriona Miscik of Michigan City, IN, Kendyl Miscik, Hannah Miscik, and Reagan Miscik all of Greenwood, IN. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Biela, Rose Kanger; two brothers, Aloysius Zekowski, Stanley Zekowski; grandchild, Chad Miscik; daughter-in-law, Christine Miscik.

Esther was a homemaker and a lifelong member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. She was also a member of War Mothers and the Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking for her family.
