Emily Williams, 89, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at 1:40 pm in Sterling House of Michigan City.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday at St. Andrews by-the-Lake Episcopal Church, 1007 Moore Road, Michigan City, IN with Rev. Rob Dorow and Rev. Carol Fleming officiating. Cremation will take place. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm -3:00 pm, Tuesday at St. Andrews by-the-Lake Episcopal Church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
She was born April 28, 1926 in Williamsport, PA to the late Walter and Frances (Letettier) Suthern. She married Walter Williams who preceded her.
Surviving are nieces, Pamela (Wilbert) Lopez-Lewis of Chicago, IL and Erica (Nathan) Scott of Sycamore, IL; friends, Richard (Angela) Schroeder of Three Oaks, MI and Gail (Gary) Kinney of Trail Creek, IN.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Frances Foster; two brothers, Walter and Allen Suthern.
She retired as an assistant manager for the Chicago Housing Authority and was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Chicago, IL and St. Andrew's-by-the-Lake Episcopal Church, Michigan City, IN. Emily enjoyed traveling and playing pinochle and bridge.
