Edward Evans "Ted" Bruce, 84, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 of Michigan City, Michigan City, Indiana.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at Noon Friday, February 10, 2017 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1010 Moore Road, Long Beach, Indiana with Rev. Keith McClellan officiating. Private family burial will take place in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Visitation hours will be from 11:00 am till the time of Mass at Notre Dame Catholic Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.
He was born October 5, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Malcolm and Anna (Evans) Bruce. On March 2, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois he married Mariana Berg who survives Michigan City, Indiana. Also surviving are Son, Robert Bruce of LaGrange, Illinois; Daughter, Barbara (Dan) Gustafson of Western Springs, Illinois; Five Grandchildren, Mary Claire Gustafson of Kansas City, Missouri, Annie Gustafson of Western Springs, Illinois, Edward "Ted" Bruce of New York, New York, Marty Bruce of Phoenix, Arizona and Billy Bruce of LaGrange, Illinois;
Ted was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, Michigan City, Indiana and Long Beach Country Club having served two terms as President and won the Club Championship in 1958. He was an avid collector of toy soldiers. Ted retired after 40 years as Sales Manager at Proctor & Gamble. He then worked in sales with St. Andrews Products, Michigan City, Indiana.
