Donald W. Walters, 54, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 1:28 p.m. at his home in, Michigan City, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Dr. Lance Hilberg officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.
He was born May 7, 1962 in Michigan City, IN to the late Harold F. and Berneda (Hildebrant) Walters.
surviving are three sons, Nick Walters, Jeremy Walters, Daniel Walters all of Michigan City, IN; two daughters, Kylee Walters, Sydney Walters both of Michigan City, IN; 6 - grandchildren; three brothers, Richard Walters of Michigan City, IN, Dennis Walters of New Buffalo, MI, twin-brother, Ronald (Paula) Walters of South Bend, IN; sister, Barb Smith of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by brother, David Walters; sister, Shirley Weaver.
Donald was proud to have played on the Elston Red Devils basketball team. He enjoyed playing basketball, watching sports, and drinking beer. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
