Delores C. Semla, 91, Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 12:55 pm in Hospice Franciscan Communities.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Buffalo & 10th Streets, Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm, Monday and from 8:30 am - 9:30 am Tuesday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.

She was born July 6, 1926 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Stephen and Rose (Jaseineecki) Bishop. On January 17, 1948 in Michigan City, IN she married Chester Semla who preceded her on June 4, 1980.

Surviving are a son, Larry (Deborah) Semla of LaPorte, IN; daughter, Patti (Mick) Pawlik of LaPorte, IN; four grandchildren, Kristen (Adam) Bush, Matthew Semla, Donnie Pawlik and Doug (Molly) Semla; three great-grandchildren, Landen, Laney and Lennox Bush; and her two brothers, Jerome Kucharski and Eugene Kucharski, both of Michigan City, IN.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Irene Novak; and her brother, Edward Kuc.

She had worked as an assembler at Milton Roy Company, was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church and enjoyed traveling. Delores loved to dance and spend time with her family especially her great-grandchildren.
