Bob D. Glancy, 85, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at 9:00 am in his home.
A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 13, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Buffalo & 10th Streets, Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Christopher Stanish officiating. Private family burial will take place at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana are handling the arrangements.
He was born June 4, 1930 in Hartford City, Indiana to the late Joe D. and Myrtle (Holdren) Glancy. On August 11, 1951 in Michigan City, Indiana he married Doris Woods, who survives Michigan City, Indiana; also surviving are three Daughters, Kathleen (Charles) Sass of Royal Beach, Florida, Patricia (Randall) Russell and Susan (John) Harmon both of Michigan City, Indiana; five Grandchildren, Brian (Paulette) Manthey, Kristy Ewy, Eric Harmon, Abby (Kevin) Collyard and Robert (Shaye) Russell; five Great-Grandchildren, Evan Ewy, Jillian Ewy, Liam Harmon, Briana Pecina and Madison Loker; two Nephews, Jeffrey (Laura) Glancy and Michael Glancy; One of triplet Brothers, Ben L. Glancy of Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was also preceded in death by his other triplet Brother, Billy Glancy; brother, Donald Glancy; two sisters-in-law, Genevieve Foster and Shirley Orange Glancy; and a Niece, Christine Glancy.
He retired from the State of Indiana. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Young Men's Society. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was loved by all.
