Betty E. Koza, 89, 4932 North Brookside Dr., Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 9:40 pm at her home in Michigan City, IN.
Private family services will be held at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Kevin Huber officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, IN. Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
She was born August 21, 1926 in Marion, IN to the late Fred and Agnes L. (Lines) Pace. On July 29, 1950 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Gas City, IN, she married George Koza who survives in Michigan City, IN.
Surviving are Three Sons, Michael (Brenda) Koza of Auburn, IN, Larry (Melissa) Koza of Angola, IN, Phil (Julie) Koza of Budd Lake, NJ; Daughter, Nancy (Doug) Durham of Michigan City, IN; 12 - Grandchildren; 8 - Great Grandchildren; Daughter-in-law, Amy Koza of Crown Point, IN; Sister, Nancy Vogelien of Albany, NY; She was preceded in death by both her parents; Son, Jeffrey G. Koza; Granddaughter, Mary Christine Koza; Sister, Barbara Prime; Two Brothers, Rex Pace, Lewis Pace.
Betty was a homemaker and member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. She was also a member and volunteered at St. Mary of the Lake Church and School of New Buffalo, MI. She was a past president and a volunteer for 10 years at Harbor Country Food Pantry. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble, bingo, and card games. Betty was a very classy lady who was very proud of her 65 year marriage to her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
