Anna Mae Riley nee Sullivan went home to the Lord on January 29, 2018.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1010 Moore Road, Long Beach, Indiana. Visitation hours will be Monday from 10:00 am till 12:30 pm in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana. Private family burial will take place in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
She was born on August 26, 1933 to the late Michael J. Sullivan and the late Nora (O'Malley) Sullivan in Chicago, Illinois. She is the beloved wife of Terry Riley, loving mother of Brian (Ann) Riley, and loved grandmother of Megan Riley. She was the fond baby sister of the late Julia Brady, the late Noreen Sullivan, the late Helen Merle, and the late Theresa Dalton. She was the beloved sister-in-law to Marcia Clift and Steve Riley, and the fun aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Riley was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, Long Beach, Indiana and worked in advertising in Chicago, secretary at Arno Adhesive Tape, Michigan City, Indiana, Superintendent secretary for New Buffalo Schools and administrative secretary for Berrien County Health Department. Everyone who knew Anna Mae knew of her love for animals. She will be greatly missed by her feathered and furry babies. She was an expert crossword puzzler and loved all things Irish and Country music. Her family would like to send a warm thank you to Franciscan Health-Michigan City and all of the nurses and doctors who were so wonderful to both her and her family. Aperion Care Arbors at Michigan City for taking such good care of her and to Dunes Hospice who brought her journey to a peaceful, painless end.
