Ann I. Stainko, 93, Michigan City, Indiana, formerly of Chesterton, Indiana passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 6:29 am.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm, Friday, April 22, 2016 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Michael Heimer officiating. Burial will follow in Chesterton Cemetery, Chesterton, Indiana. Visitation hours will be from 10:30 am till the time of service Friday in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.

She was born September 17, 1922 in Nokomis, Illinois to the late Michael and Susan (Tomko) Buchko. She was married to Andrew Stainko, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1979. Surviving are Two Sons, Andrew (Mary) Stainko, Jr. and George Stainko, Sr. Three Grandchildren, Andrew Stainko, III, Sarah Ann Stainko, and George Stainko, Jr.; She was preceded in death by Two Sisters, Susan Tokoly and Mary Heselton;

Mrs. Stainko retired after 20 years as a Custodian for the Duneland Schools. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #170, Chesterton, Indiana, West Chester Horseshoe League and for over 30 years enjoyed bowling in many different leagues.
